Turdetanian spearmen are effective against cavalry and most infantry, but lack the discipline of more 'civilized' troops. Their spears, however, make them valuable defensive warriors for any warlord.

The Turdetanians had very close contact with both the Greeks and the Carthaginians. As a result, they adopted some of their fighting methods, one of which is the phalanx.
