Welcome to the wiki for the RHIC AGS JETSCAPE tutorial!

This Github repository is a copy of the latest version of JETSCAPE Framework as of June 2021. The main difference are additional helper files that are included in the present repository, to help with the hands-on sessions.

The summary of the hands-on session for the first day can be found below.

Running JETSCAPE for the first time

Once the JETSCAPE framework is compiled, the file "runJetscape" is created in the build directory. Any additional information passed to the framework is passed through an XML file. For example:

./runJetscape ../config/jetscape_user_PP19.xml

Exercices:

• A single parton propagating in a brick of fixed temperature and length
• Adding a new parton energy loss module in JETSCAPE
• Hadron production in proton-proton with the JETSCAPE framework
• Hadron production in nucleus-nucleus with the JETSCAPE framework
