The dormant dream block is the non-actived form of the dream block. It is slightly transparent and blocks all light. Unlike the dream block, it is completely solid and cannot be dashed through.

When powered at night, the dormant dream block will randomly transform into a dream block. It can be destroyed with any tier of pickaxe.

This is a manual multi-step process similar to Casing. This is done by physically applying an ender pearl onto a placed tinted glass. The tinted glass will transform into a dormant dream block, which can be mined using any pickaxe. This can be automated using a deployer, where the tinted glass does not need to be placed in the world.
