System requirements
- The system shall not exceed 1.3 kilograms
- The system shall be capable of operating for a minimum of 3 hours
- The system shall use a Udoo Dual Basic as the onboard computer
- The system shall use a LimeSDR as the onboard radio
- The system shall use a 12 volt 3 cell LiPo battery
- The system shall be capable of operating over at least 100 kilometers line of sight
- The system shall be completed and finalized by November 9th, 2018
Payload requirements
- The payload structure shall not exceed 500 grams
- The internal payload temperature shall not go below 0 degrees Celsius
- The payload shall have three layers of plexiglass to support mounting of components
- The payload shall have two layers of fluffy insulation
- The payload shall not exceed 25cm by 25cm by 25cm in size
Communication Requirements
- The radio shall have separate channels for transmitting and receiving
- The radio shall occupy less than 1 MHz of RF bandwidth for receiving
- The radio shall occupy less than 1 MHz of RF bandwidth for transmitting
- The radio shall be capable of transmitting and receiving 16 Byte packets
- The radio shall be capable of transmitting and receiving 32 Byte packets
- The radio shall operate between 2390 and 2450 MHz
Sensor Requirements
- The sensors shall operate over i2c
- The sensors shall record GPS data
- The sensors shall record battery voltage
- The sensors shall record internal temperature
- The sensors shall record external temperature
- The sensors shall record atmospheric pressure
