Staring with v1.15 Genes are broken up into three categories, Basic Genes, Mutations, and Viruses. Mutations are stronger versions of regular genes, or certain genes that are very OP (like Flight). Viruses are genes that grant you negative effects until you die, or remove the virus with "The Cure"
Basic Genes
Genes with a * can be given to other entities besides the player. (If you are having TPS problems it is suggested to disable that in the config, since having it enabled can use more resources due to its nature.)

Viruses
The brewing formulae for viruses can be found on the Mutations Page Most of the viruses are permanent version of standard Minecraft negative status effects.
- Poison II, IV
- Wither II
- Weakness
- Blindness
- Slowness II, IV, VI
- Nausea
- Hunger
- Cursed (Bad Luck)
- Levitation
- Mining Weakness
A few viruses are instantly deadly:
- Green Death = Kills all creepers
- Un-death = Kills all undead
- Gray Death = Kills any age-able creature
- White Death = Kills all hostiles
- Black Death = Kill all entities, even players, even if they are in creative
