download and install Orac

There are videos on my youtube channel for each platform giving details of how to install Orac.

In particular for RaspberryPi, Bela and Nebulae take care to also install the 'remote clients' so you can edit the orac setup.

Running

Once you start Orac 2.0, you will hear some drums playing.. This tells you Orac is working :)

What you are hearing is the default preset (demo-1), on chain 1 there is a synth (module a1) , which will respond to the notes coming from midi channel 1 (or the organelle keyboard), and on chain 2 there is a euclidean sequencer (module b1) running the drums (module B2).

For more details on how to use Orac 2.0, again there are videos on my youtube channel , but also Loopop and C&G have made excellent introductions.

Important note

Most of the videos you will see have been made showing the Organelle, this is because this is where Orac was first released, and also being 'self contained' it is much easier for viewers to follow the discussion.

However, all of the information contained in the videos are relevant to ALL platforms. In particular, they explain the concepts like Routers, Chains, Slots, Parameters (and Pages), that you will need to have a basic understanding of. Whilst I have made some videos of Orac running on other platforms, its unlikely I will release in-depth videos for every platform - it would be very time consuming, and I would be repeating 90% of the information in each video.
