Soil-o-moisturizer 9000 is a device for automatically watering a plant. This is useful for when you are not around to water the plant yourself, or are too forgetful or lazy to do it, or just want to concentrate your efforts elsewhere. It consists of a water bottle, a micro controller, a valve and a moisture sensor.

Many ideas were considered included surveillance robot and solar panel turning robot, but for the project an automatic watering system seemed like a good candidate due to its relative simplicity and usefulness. The gravity-driven approach was chosen for its simplicity.

Valve is implemented by squeezing the tube shut with a servo controlled by the micro controller.
