Learning with Frontend Masters

This page will tell you how to watch video courses, take notes, and add them to your dev diary to get credit.

FrontEnd Masters is a video website course that you have free access to for 6 months as part of your Evergreen registration. To do this, you must register for GitHub Student Developer Pack benefits following these instructions.

It may take several days to several weeks to get approved, but stick with it! You may need to check back every day and provide more proof of your valid registration.

This is your textbook for Web Engineering courses, you must have access to your own account (don't share with other students) so that you can track your progress and take notes.

When you view the required course given to you by your instructor, your screen will look like this

Press "Shift + RightArrow" to bring up the notes view on the right side of your screen.

For each video chapter that you are assigned to watch, type at least three notes in the text box on the right describing what you understood, got out of that chapter, or a question that came up for you as you were watching the video.

The notes will show up with a timestamp in the video where you took the note.

When you have a screenful of notes, take a screenshot like the above and add them to your dev diary, under a heading of the day and the video course that you were watching.
