Astrodynes Natal Source Capture (2026-04-09)

Status: pre-Phase 1 source transcription

Purpose:

  • capture the natal Astrodynes source tables now available from the manual and supplemental screenshots
  • separate directly transcribed material from derived material
  • provide a stable pre-implementation reference for a Phase 1 natal doctrine

1. Provenance

Direct primary source:

  • C:\Users\nilad\Downloads\Astrodyne-Manual.pdf

Direct supplemental screenshots supplied in-thread:

  • Table of Aspects and Their Orbs
  • Table of Harmodynes and Discordynes Due to Essential Dignity
  • Table of Essential Dignities

Derived from source, not directly present as a standalone captured table:

  • mutual-reception basis table

2. Directly Transcribed Natal Orb Table

Source:

  • supplemental screenshot Table of Aspects and Their Orbs

Interpretation notes:

  • Sun-Moon means the wider solar/lunar orb column shown in the source table.
  • Planets means ordinary planets.
  • M.C. and Asc. use the same orb as planets in angles.
  • Parallel has a fixed 1 degree orb in every column.
Aspect Degrees Apart Succedent Planets Succedent Sun-Moon Angular Planets Angular Sun-Moon Cadent Planets Cadent Sun-Moon
Conjunction 0 10 13 12 15 8 11
Semi-sextile 30 2 3 3 4 1 2
Sextile 60 6 7 7 8 5 6
Square 90 8 10 10 12 6 8
Trine 120 8 10 10 12 6 8

Sesqui-square 135 4 5 5 6 3 4
Opposition 180 10 13 12 15 8 11
Parallel declination 1 1 1 1 1 1

Source note:

  • The source also states: M.C. and Asc. have the same orb as planets in angles.

3. Directly Transcribed House-Position Power Table

6 6.50 7.00 0.50
5 7.00 7.50 0.50
3 7.50 8.00 0.50
2 8.00 8.50 0.50
12 8.60 9.30 0.70
9 9.30 10.00 0.70

7 12.50 14.50 2.00
10 13.00 15.00 2.00
1 13.00 15.00 2.00

Additional source statement:

  • House power of the M.C. or Asc. is 15.00

4. Directly Transcribed Natal Harmony/Discord Scale

Source:

  • Astrodyne-Manual.pdf

Essential dignity:

  • degree of exaltation: +4
  • exaltation: +3
  • home: +2
  • harmony: +1

Essential debility:

  • degree of fall: -4
  • fall: -3
  • detriment: -2
  • inharmony: -1

Mutual reception:

  • each planet receives +5.00 harmodynes

Aspect-family translation:

  • trine, sextile, semi-sextile: aspect astrodynes convert to the same number of harmodynes
  • opposition, square, sesqui-square, semi-square: aspect astrodynes convert to the same number of discordynes
  • conjunction, inconjunct, parallel: neutral unless modified by the involved planet natures

Planet-nature modifiers:

  • Jupiter contributes one-half harmony
  • Venus contributes one-quarter harmony
  • Saturn contributes one-half discord
  • Mars contributes one-quarter discord

5. Natal Essential Dignity Map

Source basis:

  • supplemental screenshot Table of Essential Dignities
  • cross-check against the screenshot Table of Harmodynes and Discordynes Due to Essential Dignity

Transcription note:

  • this section is transcribed from the supplied screenshots.
  • where glyph legibility was imperfect, the wheel and matrix were cross-read together.

Pluto Scorpio Taurus Leo 17 Aquarius 17 Aries Libra

6. Derived Mutual-Reception Basis

Source basis:

  • Astrodyne-Manual.pdf states that mutual reception is present when two planets occupy each other's home or exaltation signs.
  • the standalone mutual-reception table referenced by the manual is not visible in the supplied PDF scan.
  • the table below is therefore derived from the dignity map above.

6.1 Qualifying Signs By Planet

For mutual-reception admission, each planet contributes its home signs plus its exaltation sign:

Planet Qualifying Signs
Sun Leo, Aries
Moon Cancer, Taurus
Mercury Gemini, Virgo
Venus Taurus, Libra, Pisces
Mars Aries, Scorpio, Capricorn
Jupiter Sagittarius, Pisces, Cancer
Saturn Capricorn, Aquarius, Libra
Uranus Aquarius, Gemini
Neptune Pisces, Cancer
Pluto Scorpio, Leo

6.2 Derived Rule

Two planets A and B are in mutual reception when:

  • planet A occupies any qualifying sign of planet B
  • and planet B occupies any qualifying sign of planet A

Equivalent implementation form:

A_sign in qualifying_signs[B] and B_sign in qualifying_signs[A]

6.3 Examples

Examples implied by the derived rule:

  • Sun in Cancer and Moon in Leo
  • Sun in Taurus and Moon in Aries
  • Mercury in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Gemini
  • Venus in Capricorn and Mars in Taurus
  • Saturn in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius is not mutual reception because Pisces is not a qualifying sign of Saturn and Aquarius is not a qualifying sign of Neptune

7. Natal Phase 1 Rule Skeleton

This is not implementation code. It is the narrowest source-shaped doctrinal summary for natal work.

  1. Compute house-position power for each planet, M.C., and Asc.
  2. Compute zodiacal aspect power using the orb table and wider-orb rule.
  3. Compute parallel aspect power using the conjunction-derived linear rule.
  4. Sum house-position and aspect power to get natal planetary astrodynes.
  5. Compute natal planetary harmony/discord from:
    • essential dignity/debility
    • aspect family
    • benefic/malefic modifiers
    • mutual reception
  6. Roll planetary totals into signs and houses using the manual's partial-ruler rules.

8. Remaining Gaps

Still desirable before implementation:

  • direct visual capture of the missing standalone mutual-reception table, if a cleaner scan exists
  • one or more fully worked natal examples reproduced term by term
  • confirmation that no edge-case exception exists beyond the derived rule above

Current judgment:

  • natal Astrodynes are source-captured well enough for pre-Phase 1 policy work
  • implementation should still wait for explicit validation examples
