For my project, I am interested in using either React to make a web application or using java and android studio to make a mobile app. I'm interested in making something that can match people to volunteering events based on their preferences and skills. This will be something similar to volunteermatch.org or Teetor https://rcos.io/projects/asehat/teetor/profile. In contrast to already existing projects, I would like to have the match-making process more involved by saving a user's skills and preferences and recommending volunteering events based on them.

The end product or goal would be to make an MVP that demonstrates the efficiency of seeing volunteering events catered to the interests and skillset of an individual. If this ends up being a web-app then I would need to use a webstack. A possibility is React-Typescript with MongoDB for the backend. If I make a mobile app, I will likely use android studio with Java.
