- Hatched Cicadus, the Blighted Pest.
- Unhatched Cicadus, who must be killed to summon the actual boss.
Cicadus is the first boss of the Crystal Caverns, accessible through speaking with the NPC in front of the Emerald Layer's boss door. In exchange for an Emerald Key, the player will be able to challenge Cicadus. Cicadus will drop an Emerald Chest upon death, rewarding a total of 3 items.
During the fight, Cicadus will employ a wide variety of strategies in combat, including the following attacks:
- Wind Wave: Temporarily levitates the player and deals damage. Cicadus will teleport to a midair player while levitating and will attack them.
- Pollinating Eye: An attack with high damage and armor piercing at great range, applies Pollination- a very dangerous poison effect.
- Cicadus Summons her Brood!: Summons 3-5 minions to assist her in battle. The minions do not despawn.

Because of her extremely mobile kit and ability to juggle the player, it is heavily recommended to primarily use bows or other ranged combat as damage during this boss fight, as Cicadus's main strengths lie in overwhelming melee players with her minions and juggle attacks.
Helpful Tips:
- Despite Cicadus's appearance as the easiest boss fought in the game, she should be taken seriously, and can even manage to pose a threat to the most well-prepared of players. it is advised to be well prepared before the fight, bringing in healing, plenty of ammunition, and escape options. an Oi's Eye can be an extremely valuable asset for this fight, as being able to cross the room quickly will allow you some time to recuperate.
