Welcome to the GunquinDocs!
Some of the documentation may feature older versions of the Gunquins UI/Model as further developments are made. Everything will have it’s own section! If you see anything from a screenshot in one section that is no longer in your version of the file, just take a quick peek in the Index to find what the current location/method is. If it’s no longer in the Index, it may be a feature that was removed due to instability or needless complication.
As this is a fairly complicated project, I’ll do my best to keep things updated but I can’t re-do the documentation every time we make a UI update!
Thanks for purchasing the Gunquin! I hope it can help in your art/anatomy journey, and that it can help you get into using Blender if you're new.
Usage
The Gunquin is intended to serve as a base, for both 3D and 2D, but is not meant to be directly used nor featured in any media you produce. (Eg. Directly posting reference pose packs online.)
It's meant for study and to be a (more) accurate mannequin for drawing.
Getting Started
Before you can get into using the Gunquin, you’ll want to install Blender.
Gunquins are created using the 3.3.1 LTS version. It’s completely free and will be forever!
https://www.blender.org/download/
Follow the instructions on the website to install the best version for your PC/Mac, and you’ll be able to open the program. Don’t open up the Gunquins just yet!
With a fresh Blender installed and opened, head over to Edit > Preferences
In the “Add-on” section, search for “Rigify and make sure to check the box. Then search for “Pose Library” and make sure that is checked on as well.
With this, you should be good to open the GunquinVxx.blend!
