Noesis Usage

Model Previewing

Noesis as it turns out, comes with a plugin for reading .fmod files ReFrontier extracts.

The plugin should be located in the file directory Noesis\Noesis\plugins\python, which would be wherever you extracted the file for the original .zip file noesis was downloaded as.

If this plugin is not present, download it from this link.

If it works, you should be able to click on any .fmod files and load them into noesis. Noesis lacks the model editing features blender has, but in terms of loading in a model with the texture with a click of a button, its utility as a model previewer cannot be ignored.

Just keep in mind that some models/textures the plugin struggles with properly rendering. Currently unknown as to why, but the model itself is fine, it just has issues reading the textures for whatever reason.

In this case, the rendering issue can be circumvented by pressing F5 or clicking the golden orb icon with your mouse.

Noesis Usage - Exporting

When exporting a model from Noesis, navigate to the "file" tab, and select the "export" option.

From there, you can select various options which will carry over on export. By default .fbx is the file type used, but selecting that will reveal a drop down which has other file formats such as .gltf and .dae.
