Target Audience

It'd be nice to know what people of various ages and backgrounds (making sure we get a good number of middle and high school kids in there) would be interested in learning to code so we can actually make something people would be drawn to.

Possible Surveys (keep it short)

04/14/14

  1. How old are you?
  2. If you could make any game you wanted to would you make a:
  • Text-based game (Choose Your Own Adventure)
  • 2D game (Mario Bros, the original)
  • 3D game (Minecraft) Need to provide more examples

04/earlier/14

  1. How old are you?
  2. If you were just starting to learn programming and could learn anything you wanted, what would you be excited to learn to make? Do we want to limit it to games?

Places to Survey

  • Post link on Facebook and ask people to pass it around
  • Ask local schools if they will pass the survey out to their students. Perhaps offer to lecture about my experience learning programming. If so, find local free resources for kids to use computers.
  • That survey website
  • Use websites for parents and ask parents to give their kids the survey
  • Family
  • Home schooling networks (S)
