Hi Andrew,
This is Tiana, Kasumi's friend! Last night we were talking about how a few friends and myself are trying to start up a New >York branch of a monthly storytelling night called "That Belongs in a Museum" which started out in Chicago.
The idea of the night is that there are so many artifacts in our lives that have really wonderful stories or significance >attached to them which deserve to be recognized and preserved in some way. The events give people the opportunity to bring >an object with great personal significance or a wonderful story and tell that story to an audience in under 5 minutes. >Their story is recorded and a photograph is taken of the object to make up part of an online collection.
The events are really informal and low key and are about having fun rather than anything too serious. We are currently >lining up some people with interesting stories and objects to tell to seed the first show but we are also going to >encourage anyone who comes to take part as well .
You can get a feel for the event by checking out the latest catalogue from Chicago.:

It feels like Muchmore would be a really great venue to host the first of these events in New York. I know you mentioned >something about an open slot from 7-9, which would work out perfectly for us. So if this sounds good we'd love to come by >and talk a bit more about the event and figure out the details.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers Tiana
