Respectable Negotiator

Prerequisite: 8th level or higher, Charisma 18 or higher

Respectable Negotiator Feature

Your quick tongue allows you to seize opportunities in opponents' momentary confusion. Instead of rolling initiative, you can make a persuasion check to determine your turn in combat.

Additionally, you gain a +2 bonus to all persuasion checks.

Hostile Negotiation

Even amidst grave conflict, not all hope is lost. You’ve built a knack for talking down those inclined to violence.

As an action, make a persuasion check. You magically weave your words and phrases to try and calm down hostile creatures that can hear you. This feature affects creatures up to a number of feet equal to twice the outcome of your persuasion check. Creatures within range need to succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your DC, which consists of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier, or cease all hostilities for 1 hour or until attacked.

Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.

Optional Requirement

At the GM's discretion, for a character to take this Legacy, they must showcase their willingness to defuse conflict rather than display their bloodlust. A proper negotiator tries to use their words to persuade their allies and enemies alike.
