Plague Lich

Caminion Witherbloom, the first Arch-Mage, the Kingmaker, the Plague Lich... Those that offer to help the affably evil mage are granted his boon: power over arcane decay. Warlocks that have the Plague Lich as their patron can enhance their areas of effect, forcing their enemies to succumb to an inevitable end. These very Warlocks announce themselves through the large presence of numerous tiny insects, swirling around their heads until their master grants them a target to feed on.

Arcane Plague

1st-level Plague Lich Feature

Starting at 1st level, Caminion Witherbloom grants you his boon of alchemy. As an action, you can cloak yourself in a mantle of tiny insects that whirl around you for 1 minute. Every enemy that starts their turn within 5 feet of you, needs to succeed on a Constitution saving throw equal to your spell save DC. On a failed save, they take 1d4 magical piercing damage and receive disadvantage on their next attack. On a succesful save, a target takes half damage and does not receive disadvantage.

You can’t use this feature again before finishing a short rest.

Secrets of the Old Kingdom

6th-level Plague Lich Feature

At 6th level, your patron grants you a magical enhancement to your areas of effect. When casting a spell that is cast in an area, you can choose to increase its radius by +5 feet. For instance, a 10 foot cone turns into a 15 foot cone, and a 20 foot sphere turns into a 25 foot sphere.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier before needing to finish a long rest.

Renaissance Lich

10th-level Plague Lich Feature

Starting at 10th level, Caminion allows you to select either a second Pact option or an extra Eldritch Invocation.

Additionally, the damage of your Arcane Plague is increased to 2d4.

Soul-Spinner

14th-level Plague Lich Feature

At 14th level, you gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed as giant mosquito wings sprout from your back. When you fly within 5 feet of a creature, they take poison damage equal to your Charisma modifier. A creature can take this damage only once during a turn.

Lore

Caminion Witherbloom's legacy is one of secrecy and shadow; not because they inherently craved mystery, but because they craved silence. Few know that Caminion, for Lich standards, isn't really that evil. It isn't malintent that guides his hand, but grave apathy and a fiery desire to be left alone. Despite his introverted nature, Caminion does occasionally crave the presence and comfort of those worthy of his time. For that reason, he sometimes grants powers to discerning aventurers.
