Pirate King's Plate

Armor (half plate), very rare

This armor is made from lightweight obsidian plating, but is not shiny at all. The bloody crest of the Pirate King is embedded on the chest of the armor. While attuned, you gain an additional +1 bonus to your AC and gain immunity to fire damage.

Additionally, as a bonus action, the armor can inspire grave hatred in others. All enemies within 30 feet of you need to succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or are forced to attack you on their next turn. If they are unable to attack you, they cannot use their action to attack that turn.

This item is part of the Pirate King's Regalia. If you are already attuned to another item from the same set, this item does not require attunement.

Lore

To deter incoming blows, the Pirate King cobbled together a breastplate from the salvaged steel and corpses of his victims. Davos Flintlock, his new First Mate, sought to avoid the fate of his precursor and gifted the self-proclaimed Pirate King a magical crest that would enchant the cuirass into an armor worth bragging about.
