Muckshot

Weapon (light crossbow), rare (requires attunement)

A slim and translucent light crossbow made from reinforced glass, Muckshot is a crafty weapon for quick escalation and quick escape. On every attack roll of 20 or higher, the bolt leaves behind a trail of magical ooze on all tiles between you and the target. While walking on the ooze, all movement is doubled. The ooze remains until the start of your next turn. Additionally, the weapon grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.

Lore

Vera Boudoir and her former lover, simply named ‘Boudoir’, were both excellent artificers, but would rather nurture their rivalry than their relationship. As such, they each competed in creating a crossbow - of which ‘Muckshot’ represented Boudoir’s cunning and conniving persona, when sober, that is.
