Literal Mage's Hand

Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement)

The mummified hand of a powerful lich. While attuned to the hand, it allows its bearer to cast two mage hands at the same time at will. These spectral hands can be used as extensions of your own two hands and can pass through objects. The hand can be used as a spellcasting focus and will offer its wielder a +2 bonus to their spell save DC and their spell attack bonus, along with an advantage on death saving throws.

Lore

For a brief period of years, after the discovery of the mummified hand of Caminion Witherbloom, a dangerous lich, spellcasters tried to replicate his arcane splendor. Through dangerous experimentation with phylacteries and hacksaws, many tried to amputate and conserve their hands as well. Some hands were found in pantries amidst kitchen salt, others were never to be found again. Witherbloom was many things, of which the lich was now a trendsetter as well.
