Hollow Edge

Upon attuning, the sword opens up and flushes out all old, coagulated blood as it turns translucent again.

Whenever you kill a creature with a CR of 3 or higher, the Hollow Edge drinks its fill and stores part of the slain creature's blood inside. Doing so increases your current and maximum hit points by 1 while attuned to this item.

When you reach the maximum capacity of 15 maximum hit points, you also gain resistance to poison damage as the weapon's reserve helps filter your blood.

Lore

Dragomir, during his days as a Vampire, felt entitled to his destiny as ruler of mortals. As badge of his station he had been given two things: a blade to siphon blood of the fallen and a gracious chalice to drink it from. The latter became his favorite due to it being aesthetically pleasing, but in order to fill his cup, he needed to perform some acts that would be considered severely less aesthetic.
