Cutpurse Katana
Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement by a rogue)
A sleek and delicate katana, folded from the discarded scrap of a thousand stolen trinkets. Ceodamus, Patron of Paupers, only rewards this blade to those willing to steal enough scrap metal. This weapon counts as a finesse weapon. Upon attunement, you gain the following benefits:
Pickpocket. Whenever you hit a creature with the Cutpurse Katana, you can use its magic to steal from them. Roll a d6; the result is the number of gold pieces you steal from the target. If the target has no gold, you instead steal another small valuable item, as determined by the DM.
Disarming Strike. When you score a critical hit with the Cutpurse Katana, the target must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or drop one item they are holding (your choice). The dropped item is then teleported into your hand or an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you.
Quick Camouflage. As a bonus action, you can activate the katana's shadowy magic to become invisible until the start of your next turn. This feature can be used once per short rest.
Your Gold and your Life! Each time you kill a creature with the Cutpurse Katana, you can choose to convert a portion of their life essence into gold. The amount of gold generated is equal to twice the creature's CR (minimum of 1 gold piece). This gold appears in a pouch on your person or at your feet.
