Coat of Iliomandros
Armor (light), rare (requires attunement)
The shining coat of a fabled Leonin, blessed by Illiomandros. Eloïm was known as the spreader of light, happiness and freedom. The blessings of the Leonin sun god Illiomandros still cling to the fur. While attuned to this coat, you gain the following abilities:
- You gain resistance to radiant damage.
- You emit soft, warm light that is perceivable by allies within 10 feet.
- As an action, you channel the power of Iliomandros to emit a ray of light. All creatures in a 15 feet cone of you, need to succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be blinded for 1 minute. Enemies blinded this way can re-attempt the saving throw at the start of their turns, taking 5d4 radiant damage on a failed save. You can use this feature twice before needing to wait until dawn.
Lore
The first kings of Epror aimed to mend the relationship they had with the nomadic Leonin on the western flank of the continent. To do so, they adopted some Leonin gods into their ancient pantheon and selectively integrated the Leonin myths of creation into their own. As a result, the Leonin still feel closely related to the kingdom’s fate and seek to defend its honour in name of their faith, with Iliomandros being the shining beacon of light and righteous rulership.
