ΛΑΝ Voting Process

This document exists to serve as a record and reference of the ΛΑΝ voting process for electing & nominating new officers.

Roles and their process

  1. President: Elected
  2. Vice-president of Administration: Elected
    1. Webmaster: Nominated
  3. Vice-president of Service Activities: Elected
  4. Vice-president of Standards: Elected
    1. Standards Board Members: Elected
    2. Risk Management Officer: Elected
  5. Vice-president of Social Affairs: Elected
    1. Historian: Nominated
    2. Solidarity Officer: Nominated
    3. Marketing Officer: Nominated
  6. Vice-president of New Member services: Elected
    1. Pledge Trainer(s): Nominated
    2. Capstone Officer: Nominated
  7. Treasurer: Elected

Voting

To be elected, you must have a simple majority in the ranked voting system LAN uses.

Requirements

Below are the requirements in order to be elected in these positions.

President Requirements

  • Must be an active with LAN for at least a year.
  • Must not have completed a full term in that position.

General Requirements

  • Must be an active with LAN.
  • Must not have completed a full term in that position.

Nominating

To be nominated the higher officer must chose you which must be approved by a 2/3rds vote of the Board.
