Background Information
All the effort is due to the voltage drop across the LED strip. You have to feed a 5m LED strip on both sides. You would see the brightness dropping across the led strip. There are several options to do the feed of the LED strips. If you have power sockets at every end of each led strip, you can use 5V power supplies. If you want to have only one power supply, located at one spot, you have to decrease the current of the supply cord. Only with decreasing the current by using a higher voltage, the voltage drop of the cable (caused by the internal resistance of the cable) disapear.
