M577 Command Post Carrier - TelluriumCrystal/warno_realism_mod GitHub Wiki
Overview
The M577 is a variant of the M113 Armored Personnel Carrier intended for use as a mobile command post, generally at the battalion level. It features a raised internal roof to facilitate more equipment and allow command staff to stand inside the vehicle and a roof-mounted APU to power equipment. There are five primary variants: the M577, M577A1, M577A2, M577A3, and M577A4. In German service, the vehicle was redesignated the M577G and M577GA1, equivalent to the M577 and M577A1, respectively.

Rationales
-
There is limited data on the offroad performance of the M577. However, being a tracked vehicle, it likely was capable of similar speeds to its on-road performance. Therefore, a speed debuff of 10 km/h from its road speed seems appropriate.
-
[1] states the maximum cruise distance on the road for both the M577 and M577A1 is 480 km. Because the vehicle will spend a considerable time off-road in Warno, the endurance is likely lower. Therefore, a range of 350 km seems appropriate.
-
The M577 is a large-sized vehicle, meeting the requirements for a "Bad" stealth rating per the established standard.
-
The M577 crew has minimal visibility from the periscopes around the driver's position, which, coupled with its intended role as a command post and not a frontline combatant, meets the requirements for a "Bad" optics rating per the established standard.
-
It makes no sense for a command vehicle to be unable to detect influence in a capture zone.
