Overview

The M35 series of 2.5-ton 6x6 trucks were designed by the REO Motor Car Company in the mid to late 1940s for the US Army. M35 trucks were used for a wide variety of tasks by all US military branches for the remainder of the century, with the final phase-out of the series finishing as late as the mid-2000s. There is an extensive range of variants, but the primary transport variants include the M35, M35A1, M35A2, and M35A3.

Rationales

1. According to [1], the absolute maximum road speed of the M35 is 56 MPH. However, it is unlikely that an M35 loaded with troops or supplies would be able to reach and maintain this speed, so a road speed of 50 MPH has been selected as a realistic road speed. The off-road speed has been reduced to 20 MPH; probably the fastest a large truck could be safely driven offroad.

2. The M35 features a cab with a high degree of visibility, meeting the requirements for a "Normal" rating per the established standard
