Hard mode is an optional mode that is disabled by default. It can be turned on in the AdvancedGenetics.toml configuration file by changing the setting to hardMode=true. Hard mode is intended for those that feel like obtaining genes is too easy.

Hard mode will do the following when active:

• Basic Genes will no longer grant +1 to your plasmid, you must use the exact match gene for +2
