YouTube Tutorial on how to jailbreak an Apple TV HD and installing TrollStore by DXcool223

Requirements

• Apple TV HD (up to 4th Gen) running on tvOS 17+ and an USB-C connector on the back
• USB-C data cable
• macOS or Linux running machine

Preparations (Jailbreak)

1. Connect the Apple TV to your device via USB-C and make sure your Apple TV is running
2. Go on this website and download the file that matches your system
3. Open a terminal and navigate to your downloads folder (ex. cd Downloads)
4. Type chmod +x palera1n- press tab to auto-complete the file name and press enter
5. Type xattr -cr palera1n- press tab to auto-complete the file name and press enter
6. Now run the file using ./palera1n-(tab) -f --cli
7. Follow the instruction on the terminal to enter DFU mode
8. If it freezes on PongoOS, press Ctrl + C in the terminal and redo step 6
9. Your system should now be jailbroken and you'll notice some new apps

Install TrollStore

1. Open the palera1nTV app, go on PurePKG and install it
2. Go back to home and open PurePKG
3. Go to browse, press + and enter https://zenzeq.github.io/tv/ and press OK
4. Go to ZenZeq > Tools > TrollHelper and press Install
5. Scroll up to the menu bar and select Queued
6. Press Perform Actions
7. After it is installed, go back to home and open TrollHelper
8. Press Install TrollStore, and you should be done!

Installing Swiftfin

1. Open TrollStore
2. Click on the link button (top right)
3. Enter a direct url to the ipa file and press Install
4. This might take some time to download, so just wait until it says that it has been installed

Problem Solving

If an app is not appearing on your home screen, open palera1nTV, head to Options > Utilities and press Restart PineBoard
