The Sculk Raid System - TeamPeril/Sculk-Horde GitHub Wiki
Introduction
The Sculk Raid system is a means to enable the horde to spread it's infestation across the land. If a Sculk Enderman investigates a point of interest and finds anything of value to the Horde, a Sculk Raid will commence and attempt to destroy all relevant targets.
How do Sculk Raids Start?
The Gravemind must also be in stage Immature or later. Sculk Raids start through two different means. When a Sculk Mob dies, it's position of death will be saved. The Gravemind will then investigate this location to see if there are any points of interest in the immediate vicinity. Points of interest can include, but is not limited to, player bases, structures, and villages. If it finds at least one, the raid cooldown has ended, and this particular area has not been raided for a long time, a Raid will commence.
Additionally, if you get the Sculk Lure effect, your location will be tracked and all positions you visited will be investigated to scout out for Priority Raid Targets.
Scouting
A Sculk Enderman will be sent to investigate the location. If it is not killed within the specified time limit, the next stage of the Raid will start. If you do manage to kill the Sculk Enderman, you will have successfully prevented the raid!
Waves
There are currently 10 waves. Each wave last a maximum of 15 minutes. A wave will end once it reaches the alloted time or if you kill all wave participants. Wave participants will have the glowing effect. Each wave you will meet an army of Sculk foes escorting Sculk Creepers. These creepers will attempt to destroy Priority Raid Targets(I.E. Beds, Doors, Crafting Tables, etc). It is your job to stop them from destroying these objectives. The escorts of these creepers will attempt to stop you from killing these creepers.
The Final Wave
Once you reach the final wave, the Sculk Enderman Boss will appear. He is really strong and will use all his special abilities against you. Your in the fight for your life.
The End of the Raid.
Once the raid succeeds or fails, the Sculk Horde will consider your area to be a no raid zone. No raids within 1000 blocks of this location will commence for 5 real life hours. If the raid was successful, the area will begin to become infested.
