Aquaculture 2 adds new fishing rods to the game. You can still use the vanilla wooden fishing rod and modded fishing rods to catch Aquaculture fish. But only the Aquaculture fishing rods are able to get equipment attached, that adds various mechanics that improve your fishing capabilities.

Improved fishing

Aquaculture add various mechanics that can boost your chances of catching something while your line is cast, for example, bait. You can use use bait to increase your chances of catching a fish. Bait includes:

  • Worms
  • Minnow
  • Leech You can obtain Leeches and Minnows by fishing, and Worms in a worm farm.

Fishing Rods

Hooks

Iron and Diamond: chance to not use durability. Iron Hook Diamond Hook Gold: Increased luck. Gold Hook Light: casts further. Light Hook Heavy: casts shorter. Heavy Hook Double: chance to catch two things. (10%) Double Hook Redstone: longer opportunity to reel in a fish. Redstone Hook Note: audible alert when a fish is approaching. Cosmetics

The mods also adds various cosmetic items into the game to customize your fishing rods.

Bobber

A dyeable bobber that can be dyed like leather armor. Bobber

Fishing line

A dyeable fishing line that can be dyed like leather armor. Fishing Line

Tackle Box

Aquaculture also adds a Tackle Box. In it, you can store all of these items and fish bait. The Tackle Box is also where you can attach equipment to the fishing rods *The top corner items can be either, Green Dye, Algae or Kelp Tackle Box Tackle Box GUI Link
