Every translation patch is applied differently, and for users who haven't applied a patch before, the steps can get pretty complicated. We're compiling a set of instructions for using our patch covering as many circumstances as we can. Using this patch requires, at the very least, the capability to run homebrew software on your 3DS. Custom firmware is ideal. Please see this wonderful guide for information on how to prepare your 3DS.
