1. STATEMENT OF GOALS

1.1 Problem Statement

Do to the Covid-19 pandemic many small-to-mid sized businesses that provide in-person services are suffering losses and customers are unsure if it is safe to return. Restaurants, beauty and hair salons can no longer have customers waiting in seating areas, in-person interaction for booking services should be limited. Proper timing of when customers should arrive to their shops and restaurants is critical to the successful reopening in a post-pandemic world.

1.2 Product Vision

A smart booking app focused on small-to-mid sized business that will assist the scheduling of appointments, generate automatic notifications for scheduled bookings and keep customers in touch with service providers for a personalized experience.

• Seamless integration with existing systems

1.3 Out of Scope

Robotic or drone deliveries are beyond the scope of this project due to technical challenges and time constraints. Additionally, there is no available data as to whether the labor savings will offset potential losses from accidents or mischief.
