Removing a member account from an organization

Before a member account can be removed there need to be some criteria met.

Before removing an account

• AN account has to have the information to operate as a standalone account.
  • Choose a support plan
  • Provide and verify the required contact information
  • Provide a current payment method
• Wait a minimum of seven days after the account was created before deleting
• Account cannot be a delegated administrator account for any AWS service enabled for the organization

Effects of removing an account

• Account is responsible for paying all of its own charges
• The account is no longer affected by policies from the prior organization
