Economic Concern - TannerWeinacker/Capstone GitHub Wiki

Concern:

Economic Concerns and Implications Integrating cyber.local to cyber.aws is a challenging feat that requires planning and budgeting throughout the creation. Cloud infrastructure in some cases can be cost-effective for a business, with little to no existing hardware, however, this is not always the case. For example, budgeting an already existing infrastructure into the cloud will require the cost to maintain existing hardware as well as the new cloud infrastructure.

Mitigation:

The budgeting that will take place will require an understanding of the existing infrastructure alongside the plans for the AWS services and storage. A well-thought-out budget for the needs of AWS will need to be conducted. Taking into consideration what the purpose of the cloud infrastructure will be used for as well as a potential growth factor, will require many meetings and time to be as cost-effective as possible.

Sources:

These two sources cover the economics of cloud computing as well as building a strategy for economics. I would like to take information from each source to create the most cost-effective budgeting plan for cyber.aws, as well as create a potential growth module for it as well. Also, I would like to learn more about presenting this as potentially being an ROI for Champlain college.
