A quick rundown of Cracker's Wither Storm Plus's gameplay, and some of its features!
The Beginning
Cracker's Wither Storm Plus is purely a pack meant to enhance and harden the CWSM experience. Giving the player a new challenge and a tougher experience overall.
The start of Plus is overall similar to normal CWSM. Of course, it is only similar. The Wither Storm does have brand new abilities it can use for its own benefit or to kill the player such as lightning and skull attacks. The Wither Storm only grows stronger over time.
Nowhere is Safe
Plus gives the Wither Storm various abilities to counter what would usually be safe-spaces for the player. The most deadly ability it has is teleportation. The Wither Storm can only teleport in specific situations.
-
When the player changes to a different dimension that isn't the Nether or Bowels (currently only a few modded dimensions are compatible with Plus's teleportation, such as Twilight Forest, Ad Astra, Blue Skies, and The Aether.)
-
When the player gets too far away (over 7k blocks).
-
When the player continuously to hop distances away from the Storm using Nether portals.
-
When the player stays over 4k+ blocks away from the Wither Storm for a long period of time.
-
If you've stayed in the Nether longer than the 3rd anger level, eventually it will move to a 4th where when you get out the Nether, it can teleport to you if you're 1300k+ blocks out.
Teleportation isn't the only thing however, the Wither Storm can also dig down with the use of its flaming skull attacks into caves if you're below Y-level 30. Be careful of where you stay, because it may not be too safe if the Wither Storm is around! Along with teleportation and digging, the Wither Storm will get angrier the longer you camp in the Nether. In response, it will summon sickened mobs around you after about 45 minutes of being in the Nether. If you continue to stay, the sickened mobs the Wither Storm spawns will get stronger and spawn more frequently.
The Withered Symbiont
The Withered Symbiont is slightly harder than the original. It is also given its own custom attacks that are similar to the Wither Storm's. The Wither Storm definitely wont like when you kill it. Be careful however, the more times you kill a Withered Symbiont, the stronger it'll be when it comes back!
The End?
With the Formidibomb crafted, the last thing to do is the destroy the Wither Storm with it. The Wither Storm does have its own new effects to showcase its power a little bit more as well!
It Only Gets Stronger
Of course, if you've played CWSM before, you'll know that this isn't the end. The Wither Storm is still alive, and even stronger than before! It even brought along some sickened mobs to try and keep you busy. Although it doesn't look like much at the start, some of the Wither Storm's abilities do get stronger in this phase and above such as its lightning attack!
Although the Wither Storm may look weak as it first gets up, it wont be long before things start looking bad! The Wither Storm will only get stronger from here.
The Wither Storm grows faster in phase 6 and above, meaning it will gain its heads back and mass even faster than normal. Careful of this, as the Wither Storm does begin chasing you once it gets its heads back, and can use its attacks a bit faster than before. This would be a good time to hide in a safe place, the Wither Storm is very fast, and will catch up to you quickly if you don't hasten.
The Finale
Once you're all prepared, head into the Wither Storm for your battle against the improved Command Block. It's usually recommended you go into this fight with enchanted diamond armor, as this battle is much more difficult than in vanilla CWSM. The Command Block is a little more than just a hit and run fight now, the Command Block is able to protect itself past just using mobs, and is now able to use shield barriers to make it invincible against all attacks. It only gets harder to break its defense as the fight goes on, so it is best to be careful.
The Command Block has its own special attacks different from anything previously experienced, as well as an ability to shoot flaming skulls. With the enclosed space, it makes things much harder to avoid.
The Aftermath
After the defeat of the Wither Storm, you have the option of crafting the Withered Beacon. There are plenty of things the Withered Beacon can do with Plus, it goes as far as summoning custom mobs and items. Some with their own special abilities such as the Purple Diamond entity or the Corrupt Horn item.
The Withered Beacon can also resummon the Wither Storm. However, unlike CWSM's simple 3 wither skulls and a powered beacon, you'll need 3 Wither Skulls, 3 Tainted Dust, and a Command Block. Resummoning the Wither Storm will unlock a brand new Wither Storm fight.
The Resummoned Wither Storm
The Resummoned Wither Storm is an upgraded version of the Wither Storm, with pretty much all of its abilities buffed. The Wither Storm also has gained the ability to infect the surrounding area and taint it.
The Wither Storm can now only summon Withered Symbionts when it is doing its 'Mass Infection' ability, where a loud sound will play at a large range before ending in the Wither Storm infecting a large area around it in rapid succession.
The Resummoned Wither Storm Fight
The Wither Storm will take the Formdidibomb as usual, but this time- it's a bit different. The Wither Storm isn't going down as easily this time, it has multiple stages the lower in health it gets and is now using the Formidibomb's power against you in an effort to kill you.
The Resummoned battle begins, a challenging battle on its own, but winnable in the end. The Wither Storm is stronger, but it isn't undefeatable. The end goal is to now defeat it from the outside since you cannot kill it from the inside.
The True Finale
The Wither Storm isn't done yet, even though it fled after the first outside battle, the Wither Storm has now returned and even more powerful than before. Along with its new abilities, it also has new ways of defending itself and taking over the world you fight so hard for. The true final battle begins, the battle that decides the fate of everything or the total destruction of the Wither Storm and its Command Block.
True Peace
After finally defeating the Wither Storm, you are left with the Super Withered Nether Star. A star that can do even more than the normal Withered Nether Star can do. A powerful reward for ruining the world you once saved.
