Setting up a New Activity in the Lab

  1. Define a new experiment or research project that requires preparation to complete. Note: All new activities should get planned.
  2. Identify the lab GitHub repository for the activity or make a new one.
  3. Copy the template content from Project Preparation SOP to a new page on the repository wiki.
  4. Add an issue to the repository including the Project Initiation Checklist and tag participating members of the lab for updates.
  5. Be as detailed as possible with the information.
  6. Provide the information to lab and field management as early as possible.
  7. Maintain these documents throughout the project in preparation for project close out.
