Roadmap - TAOS-Labs/TAOS GitHub Wiki

The following roadmap describes the high-level concepts that will be present in each TAOS milestone, alongside prospective release dates. For more information regarding the current state of development, see the state of the TAOS GitHub project.

Milestone 1: Single-Host System

The first TAOS milestone will be to have a working single-host system. As a minimum this milestone will boot into a TAOS terminal on hardware and will support a linux-like set of default commands. The prospective release date for this milestone is 03/01/2025.

Milestone 2: Multi-Host System

The second TAOS milestone will be to have the system capable of running multi-host. This will allow for processes to spawn and share resources with children on seperate TAOS hosts. The prospective release date for this milestone is 04/01/2025.

Milestone 3: Complete System

The final TAOS milestone will be the full implementation of all features specified within this wiki. This will include running a window system across multiple TAOS hosts. The prospective release date for this milestone is 05/01/2025.
