The Makerspace became the new home of the TAMSformers in 2022 after we got kicked out of the JETS closet (Boardroom). It was formerly the bookroom, but it was basically just a bike storage room by the time we got there.

Over the years, we have collected a wide array of tools, trinkets, and hardware that we now use in the Makerspace for Robotics and the greater TAMS community to use.

Hand tools are used and powered by hand. These tools are the most basic and commonly in everyday life, and as such, most will be at least somewhat familiar with them. However, they still need to be used correctly and carefully to maximize their effectiveness and/or durability. The most used tools are usually stored and organized in the two black metal toolboxes. Larger hand tools can be stored in the yellow crate

Power tools, either corded or cordless (battery powered), can save a lot of time and effort over hand tools, but they must be used with caution, the correct safety equipment, and knowledge on how to use them.
