# Graphite as Anode

Currently, anodes based on carbon (graphite) are mostly used in Lithium-Ion-Battery. They have a low electrode potential and hardly expand during charging. Graphite is combined in Lithium-Ion batteries with various Cathodes, Electrolyte-for-Lithium-Ion-Batteries.
