Blade Trap

Blade traps are, well, traps. The generate with the world and can be found most often in ruins made from stone. Get to close and they will spring into action, slicing through the player for damage.

The blade trap in actually a block, and only becomes a mob while attacking. As a block it does not take damage but can be mined. They cannot be crafted by player; they only generate naturally and will always attack any player close by and in line to be hit.

Even though the basic idea is fairly general in many ways, the most direct inspiration for the blade trap is from The Legend of Zelda game series .
