Particles

  • Break particles improved for shields, signs, end rods, torches, heads (except player), beds, lightning rods, cauldrons, brewing stands, hoppers, composters, chests, ender chests
  • Bubble particles have a new palette
  • Eating particles improved to remove parts you wouldn't eat including stews, foods with leaves, fish, melons
  • Effect particles are translucent
  • Enchanting table particles are purple
  • Flame, lava and angry particles have new palettes
  • Heart and damage particles are like the hud hearts
  • Nautilus particle changed to a single white pixel
  • Portal, ender chest and enderman particles changed to a single purple pixel
  • Slime's particles changed to slime block
  • Soul fire and soul particles have new palette
  • Splash particles recolored
  • Spore blossom particles use a new texture

Effect Icons

  • Bad omen's axes recolored
  • Darkness has a light border for better visibility
  • Fire resistance has a new palette on the fire part
  • Glowing depicts a group of creepers with 1 glowing
  • Haste has a new palette
  • Health boost looks like hud hearts
  • Hunger looks like hunger effect hud hunger haunch
  • Instant damage/health looks like hud heart
  • Invisibility given new palette
  • Regeneration looks like hud heart
  • Saturation looks like full hud hunger haunch
  • Slow falling uses feather item's palette
  • Strength and weakness changed to match iron sword changed

Sky/Weather

  • End sky changed to pure purple
  • Moon retextured and made larger to match sun size, glow made smoother to match sky gradients
  • Rain and snow are clearer
  • Sun made smaller to match moon size, glow made smoother to match sky gradients

Map Colors*

  • Deepslate is darker gray instead of light
  • Dripstone is dirt colored instead of near black
  • Grass and foliage are more accurate colors
  • Tuff is slightly darker than stone instead of near black

Overlays

  • Entity shadow is now lower resolution for pixel consistency (for around player sized entities)
  • Nausea screen overlay made smoother
  • Pumpkin blur is now dark orange, mirrored to match what you would actually see looking out
  • Spyglass scope uses new palette
  • Underwater overlay is clearer
