Surface Well

On the surface is the well itself. Most well variants have a water cauldron, but not all.

Well Shaft

Inside the well you'll find a shaft that leads to a cave below. The shaft can be either 1x1, chipped 3x3, or 3x3 depending on the size of the well variant above the shaft. The well shaft's depth can be either 24 blocks, 36 blocks, or 48 blocks.

Well Cave

At the bottom of the well shaft, you'll find a small cave pocket, filled with lots of coal, gold, and iron ore. If a cave system overlaps the cave pocket, an entrance between the two will be created.

Lush Well Cave

Well caves have a 1/4 chance of spawning with features of lush caves, like Moss Blocks, Glow Berries and Azalea. These kinds of well caves also contain an axolotl of random variant (Blue is a 1/100 chance)

Most Lush well caves also contain a concentrated section of ore blocks, so explore through to find it.
