First Generation

The first generation of the calculator was more primitive and relied heavily on user input. Furthermore, it had to be run from the terminal and required you to download the source code and run it. The first generation includes all versions from Alpha to 2.3.1. It is no longer maintained.

Second Generation

The second generation of the calculator relies much less on user input and uses an executable .jar file, which provides a graphical user interface (GUI), making for simpler installation and use. The second generation starts with version 3.0.0.

Documentation

There is little documentation of how the first gen calculator works, however there will likely be documentation in the form of comments within the source code for second gen. Additionally, changelogs are and will be present for both first and second gen. More information may be found in the latest release page (currently v3.0.0-alpha.3).
