The Infinite Field - SpacePotatoee/MinecraftFoundFootage GitHub Wiki
Level 4, referred to as The Infinite Field, is a seemingly boundless grassland environment existing under a perpetual daylight sky. The terrain is gently rolling and covered in dense, green grass, with sporadic fog banks drifting low across the landscape. The atmosphere is muted and quiet, broken only by intermittent environmental sounds and the distant silhouette of manmade structures.
One of the most striking features of the level is the presence of weathered power poles that stretch in linear formations across the terrain. These poles serve no functional purpose, as they carry no visible wiring, but they are a consistent navigational reference point for explorers. Scattered throughout the field are occasional concrete structures, some of which resemble architectural elements from earlier levels.
Unlike prior levels, electronic devices—including flashlights—remain fully operational, suggesting a lack of the environmental interference present in more anomalous zones.

Level 4 is accessed by locating and entering the exit within Level 3 – The Poolrooms. Upon successful transition, subjects awaken in the middle of an open plain at or near coordinate (0, 31, 0). The landscape is fully explorable in all directions, though navigation can be disorienting due to the lack of unique landmarks.
To exit the level, explorers must locate a large concrete structure that contains an internal staircase. Not all such structures contain stairs; only specific variants offer a functional exit. Structures without stairs may appear identical externally, requiring exploration to determine utility. These exit structures typically spawn before the 300-block boundary from the point of arrival. Entering a valid structure will return the player to the Overworld.
Level 4 is classified as non-hostile, with no entities present within the environment. However, the level presents logistical hazards that can affect unprepared explorers:
-
Scarcity of Food: The grasslands do not appear to support any form of wildlife or vegetation suitable for sustenance. Prolonged exposure without provisions can result in starvation.
-
Distance Fatigue: Due to the vast size of the map and the potential distance between the spawn point and viable exits, players may face severe travel durations without navigational aids.
While not overtly dangerous, the level’s emptiness and ambient silence can contribute to psychological strain and disorientation over time.
Although relatively stable, Level 4 occasionally generates ambient auditory events. These include:
-
Distant alarm sirens
-
Whistling sounds that may resemble wind or faint signals
-
A looping ice cream truck melody with no identifiable source
These soundscapes serve no mechanical function but appear designed to heighten anxiety or anticipation. There is no evidence linking these events to environmental changes or the presence of entities.
