GUI Tabs - SonarSonic/Flux-Networks GitHub Wiki
Home
Name: The custom name for the connection.
Priority: User-configurable connection priority. Higher priorities will always send/receive energy first. Flux Storage will always receive/send energy after all Plugs/Points have been used.
Transfer Limit: User-configurable limit for energy transfer per tick. When enabled the connection will only send/receive energy up to this limit. Setting it to 0 will stop any transfer from occurring.
Buffer: The buffer is an internal energy storage which stores one ticks worth of energy. This helps with making Flux Networks more server friendly and enables features such as 'priority' to be used. Typically the buffer will be empty as the energy will be used on the same tick it's received. If energy is stored in the buffer this normally means the network has an excess of power, this buffer will decrease when the network requires energy again.
Surge Mode: When enabled this will bypass the 'priority' ensure this connection will receive/send energy first. This is useful to active when a certain machine is short of energy, or if it serves a very important function.
Disable Limit: When enabled this will bypass the 'transfer limit' and allow this connection to receive/send an unlimited amount of energy during each tick.
Chunk Loading: When enabled the connection will keep 1 chunk loaded. (This can be disabled in the config)
Network Selection
Connecting: Left-click a network to connect to it. The currently selected network will be brighter and will share the color of the box surrounding the GUI.
Encrypted Networks: Networks displayed with a small padlock are encrypted and will require a password to connect to. When left-clicked a pop-up will appear where the password can be entered.
Wireless Charging
Wireless Charging will only function when your network has a Flux Controller!
Chargeable Inventories: Armor Slots, Baubles, Main Inventory*, Hotbar Slots, Left Hand, Right Hand
Activating: Left-click on an Inventory type to enable wireless charging on it, when you're happy with your selections hit Apply to save them! And ensure the Enable Wireless switch is on!
*In the latest versions of the mod Main Inventory is disabled, as this causes a lot of overhead, and in most cases isn't necessary
Network Connections
Editing Settings: Left-click any connection to edit it's settings wirelessly, this will open a pop-up with all the same settings as the 'Home' tab.
Batch Editing: Right-click multiple connections and press the small 'Edit Selected' button. This will open another pop-up but this one also has check-boxes which can be used to decide which settings you wish to change on all selected connections. (Some settings may not be available when editing in this way).
Sorting: Currently there is only one option 'Smart' this will sort the connections by type (Flux Controller, Flux Point, Flux Plug, Flux Storage) and also by priority.
Transfer: Each connections will show transfer data for the last tick. Points will show energy outputted from the network, Plugs will show energy inputted and Storage will show the change in energy stored.
Network Statistics
Connection Stats:
-
Plugs: The number of Flux Plugs connected to the network.
-
Points: The number of Flux Points connected to the network.
-
Storages: The number of Flux Storages connected to the network.
-
Controllers: The number of Flux Controllers connected to the network.
Energy Stats:
-
Input: The total amount of Energy that was inputted into the network last tick.
-
Output: The total amount of Energy that was outputted from the network last tick.
-
Buffer: The combined total of all buffers in each connection connected to the network.
-
Energy: The combined total of energy stored in all Flux Storages connected to the network.
Graph: Shows recent energy transfer activity. Each point on the graph represents an average change over the last five seconds (this will be the higher number of Input / Output).
Average Tick: This is a average measurement of the networks usage per tick in micro seconds. It profiles all energy transfers performed by the network.
Network Members
Player List: All players currently online will be displayed on this list, next to their names you'll see their permission level on your network.
Permission Levels:
- SUPER ADMIN: They can ACCESS, EDIT & DELETE any network
- OWNER: They can ACCESS, EDIT & DELETE the network.
- ADMIN: They can ACCESS & EDIT the network.
- USER: They can ACCESS the network.
- NONE: They have NO PERMISSIONS on the network.
Changing Permissions: If you left-click a player you can choose to 'Set to Admin', 'Cancel Membership', 'Transfer Ownership'. These are all self-explanatory. If you 'Transfer Ownership' this can only be reversed by a Super Admin or by the new owner.
Network Settings
See the similar Create New Network below for more details
Network Deletion: To delete the currently selected network, press shift twice and then left click. This can't be reversed.
Create New Network
Name: Choose a name for your network.
Security Setting: Choose between the following settings
- Encrypted: Requires a Password, anyone with the password can connect.
- Public: No Password Required, anyone can connect.
Energy Type: Choose which Energy Type you wish energy measurements to be display in. This has no effect over which Energy Types you will be allowed to use.
Color: Choose a color to identify your network by. You can also input a custom color by right clicking any of the colors provided and then entering a HEX key. You can see a preview of how your network will appear at the bottom of the page.
When you're happy press the Create button.
