  1. Generate a new public/private key pair:

    gpg --full-generate-key
    1. Select 1, RSA and RSA (default).
    2. Select keysize: 4096.
    3. Select 0 for expiration date (no expiration).
    4. Select Y to confirm to continue.
    5. Enter your name, this will be used (i.e. to other users for identification).
    6. Enter your e-mail address to which the key should be associated.
    7. (optional) Enter a comment.
    8. Validate entered details and press O to accept generate the key pair.
