- A Microsoft computer
- Arduino coding program
PLAN:
Build code using the Micro Servo & the Step Motor in order for it to work with the blinds as well.
PROJECT PROPOSAL:
We, at Loyola High School, Montreal, Qc, have chosen to rebuild and improve the blind system in the new wing classrooms. In these new classrooms, there are panels that perform a number of functions, such as; turning lights on and off, turning on the audio system, controlling the blinds, lowering the projection screen, etc. The current blinds system are limited, slow and glitchy. Our intention is to employ an analogue control to adjust the blind's height. This analogue stick would allow the blinds to move to whatever height necessary for the classroom and would allow more precise height for the blinds. This concept, was being tested with the use of a micro servo which would work similarly to blinds.
As of February 8th 2016, the project is finished and the code has been finalized.
