Transport
Book your train tickets ahead of time if possible. Tickets tend to be more expensive on the day. You're looking for Didcot Parkway station.
Contact the venue to organise your taxi on arrival and on departure. Bring cash for the taxi. Some don't take credit cards.
Whether you're driving or getting a taxi, if you have any spare seats, put the information on the Arrivals and Departures pages so others can see it.
If you're flying, don't forget your plane tickets. ;-)
Electronics
You'll likely need your laptop for hands on sessions, slides etc.
Bring your phone. We're not sure about the quality of the wifi, and while we hope it'll hold up under the load, you might need to use your data connection sometimes.
If you're coming from overseas, bring British power adapters. We don't have the same power sockets as the rest of Europe.
If you plan on running a session that requires downloading large files (or even small ones), prepare. Bring them with you, just in case we have Internet problems.
If you have spares (and the space in your luggage!), it would be helpful to have an extension cord
Bring adapters to connect to a projector if your laptop doesn't have HDMI
Clothing
We are be going on a walk in the countryside on Sunday. If you'd like to take part, bring rainproof clothing, in case it starts to pour. England has a habit of doing that. Best to wear boots or shoes that you don't mind getting muddy rather than your favourite pair of trainers, which might get ruined!
Your exercise gear is very welcome. Some people will no doubt be organising group runs or other events. If you're interested, pack accordingly. The hotel also has a swimming pool, a sauna, steam room and hot tub, so a swimming costume is recommended.
What else?
Board games, musical instruments and such are very helpful for evening activities. Do bring them!
