Modes of Operation
There are two modes of operation for the vehicles.
- Manual control through the controller
- Computer control which is controller by the Jetson Nano
How To Enter a Mode
To initialize the system switch on the transmitter (should be flashing when started), then initialize the receiver (controller) which will also flash. After a couple seconds they should become solid red and be paired. After pairing please follow these steps to assign the desired mode.
- Pull the trigger forward to initialize and hold there for 1-2 seconds and let go. (Wait for a beep)
If there is no beep then attempt again
- To enter into autonomy mode pull the trigger back and let go.
To test if in autonomy mode you can twist the wheel knob which controls the steering and see if it is accepting controller commands or not.
- To enter rc controller mode you pull the trigger forward and let go. Throttle and steering should now work as normal.
You should be able to toggle between these modes as needed by following steps 2 or 3.
